Our directors Richard and Clare joined 160 delegates in Madrid for the Monocle Quality of Life Conference…

Whilst enjoying the astonishingly hot weather, trips to; a private palace, independent shops, market halls, offices and communities, the conference included delegates from around the works from property, real estate, government, architecture, retail, fashion and design.

Between the tapas, Madrilenian late nights and local delicacies, speakers including the celebrated urbanist Jan Gehl, Anni Sinnemaki the deputy mayor of Helsinki, former editor in chief of ‘New York’ magazine Adam Moss and Architect Sir David Chipperfield and the scene was set for inspiration conversation, ideas and some city game changing.

The array of entrepreneurial talent summed up the new global business world with quotes including; ‘It’s not what you do, it’s how you do it’ and ‘why do anything if it isn’t sustainable’.
